Tri Guru club on Strava

Forums:

I've set up a Tri Guru club on Strava. Any Strava member can join it here:

https://www.strava.com/clubs/131009

For those of you not familiar with Strava it's a website where you can upload your bike/run activities from your Garmin (or use the phone app to record then upload) which allows you to compare your performances with your previous efforts and other people.

If we get a few people joining the Strava club I will add awidget from Strava to the website which will show the recent activities of members.

Newbie swimmer at Dukinfield

Forums:

Thank you for making me feel welcome as well as out of my depth ( if you will pardon the pun ) this evening at Dukinfield. It was my first time in the pool for many months and boy did I know it!

Technique WILL improve over time and apologies to Gill for getting in her way a few times before cramp set in.

Onwards and upwards.

Dont forget critical swim speed testing 23/3/15 if you don't book on numbers will be limited to 18 as that is all we can manage with limited pool space. Book early don't be disappointed.

Cheshire series TT's coming very soon check the list for the first one after the cumbrian commotion this weekend, again book early to avoid disappointment at least 2 weeks in advance. This is when entries close!!!

New training programme

Forums:

as of the 6th April there will be a new time table for training at Copley and other venues.

Mondy will be a  hour slot at Tameside track for a bike session, try to attend even if yo don't make it to the full session. The Monday swim stays the same 7.30 to 8.30 techique.

Tuesday spin at 7.30 - 8.15 with a 5k or 10k run off the spin.

Wednesday Swim stays the same ( Salford open water starts about easter so this will probably take over with a run sprint interval session around th dock)

Thursday spin 7.30 - 8.15  8.30 - 9 core strength

Friday swim 7 - 8

Booking on Sessions

Forums:

With out turning this into a rant, i really need you to ensure that you book on all sessions you attend. I know some are concerned that you will be charged if you don't attend. But at the very least as you enter the centre ensure you book on the session you are attending. If we don't get a true reflection of numbers attending then we will not get any extra lanes in the pool, no extra spin sessions or circuits. I am banging the drum as hard as i can but need everyone to their bit as well please!!!

Hills run on Saturday Multi Terrain from Copley 2.00PM

Forums:

I am meeting Gummers at 2.00pm on Satrurday outside Copley to do the 13 mile hilly run loop which we have been doing for the last few weeks.

If anyone wants to join us then no problem just let me know well in advance so that I can place you with similar standard runners and with someone who knows the route.

We dont wait around for people as this is training, not socialising,  so if you dont want to work hard then this runs is not for you, maybe a walk down for the paper would be more appropriate.
